Dan Wood is a lifelong Central Bucks resident from the Woodridge neighborhood of Doylestown. He attended Kutz Elementary, Lenape Middle School and graduated from CB West in 2005. Dan was active in community sports, marching band, and the Boy Scouts of America, reaching Eagle Scout with Troop 71. Dan attended Pennsylvania State University, graduating in 2009.
After graduation, Dan returned home to Doylestown. He taught himself to program and currently works at BrickSimple on Main Street as a software engineer. Outside of work, he is an avid hiker, cyclist and Philadelphia sports fan, especially his Eagles. Dan is proud to live and work in Doylestown, taking advantage of the Bike and Hike Trails to commute to work and explore all the parks and back roads this beautiful area has to offer.
Dan and his wife Jenna currently live on Shady Retreat Road with their three year old son Connor. They hope to give Connor the same opportunities and sense of community that Dan had growing up here, from the excellent schools to the vibrant town and preserved open spaces.
Dan is also active in Doylestown’s local government. He is a member of the Public Water and Sewer Advisory Board where he works to maintain oversight of the Pebble Ridge sewer project and improve communications with residents regarding upcoming sewer expansions. He is also an associate member of the Environmental Advisory Council and a regular attendee of the Bike and Hike Committee’s meetings. Dan has also been taking his son to regularly volunteer in Doylestown’s Native Plant Garden in Central Park to help maintain the garden.
Dan’s long history in Doylestown and his experience volunteering in the township’s local government will help serve the residents of Doylestown if elected as their next Township Supervisor.
